Your observation about what we have lost in our materialist drive to look under the hood and understand the mechanisms was explained beautifully. I'm not decrying that drive, only lamenting that eating from the Tree of Knowledge also means losing the Garden. Maybe Oedipus too would have been better off not knowing some things?

this is a great article. i've read in depth about similar healing practices on southamerica and australia where the shaman uses trap objects within his mouth and proceeds to suck and trap these "endo-parasites"
one of the many reasons these occur is attributed to the ingestion without permission of the spirit-owner of the species that one ingested
