I value pure, raw, uncut creativity - the kind you can snort, the kind you can smoke.

I value honest conversations, with others and with one’s self.

Sometimes I kiss trees when no one is looking. There, I said it. Sometimes I whisper to them and express my gratitude. Only when I’m in a good mood and no one is around (I do a quick scan).

You should do it too.

I value the impractical, the unreasonable, the unpredictable, the things that are done for shits and giggles - writing “I was here” on the wall of the bathroom stall.

I value friendship and friendly competition.

I value teamwork (always remember – teamwork makes the dream work), sportsmanship, and good coaching.

I value effort, competitive fire, determination, perseverance against all odds, hutzpah, gusto, zeal, audacity, upset victories, improbable comebacks, when Húŋkpapȟa chief Running Antelope called out to his warriors, “Today is a good day to die. Who will die with me?”

I value subversion, disobedience, defiance, rebellion, fighting The System, sticking it to The Man, raging against The Machine.

I value the ability, at all times and in all places, to say fuck this shit I’m out.

I value things that can’t be quantified- wisdom, love, dreams, stories.
