I guess that reality may be much more mundane. Historical Jesus did not exist. Paul's letters preceded the Gospels. Jesus is cosmic god-figure who manifested to Paul by revelation only - that's why he never writes about Jesus' life. If Vatican is keeping any secrets, they must be a series of ancient texts and non-canonical gospels that talk about Jesus who never walked the Earth.
